1. What we collect
- Account data: email address, authentication identifiers.
- Profile data: username, bio, avatar URL.
- Content data: posts, attached media URLs, moderation reports and appeals.
- Technical data: push notification token, app/device metadata, security signals.
2. Waitlist information
If you join the Lythaus waitlist, we collect the email address you submit. We use it for waitlist, launch and related early-access communications. We may perform abuse-prevention verification when you submit the form. You can unsubscribe at any time or contact us through the privacy address below.
Waitlist records are retained for no more than 24 months while waiting or invited. After account conversion, unsubscribe or withdrawal, we purge waitlist-specific information within 30 days. A legal requirement or active legal hold may require us to retain information for longer.
3. Why we process data
- Provide core product features (feeds, posting, moderation, notifications).
- Enforce platform integrity and safety policy.
- Respond to legal obligations and abuse investigations.
4. Legal bases
- Contract performance for account and feature delivery.
- Legitimate interests for safety, abuse prevention, and reliability.
- Consent where required for optional analytics and marketing notifications.
5. Data retention
- Inactive accounts: target deletion after 24 months.
- User-deleted content: target purge within 30 days.
- Moderation cases: retained through closure plus 90 days.
- Operational logs: short retention with minimization controls.
6. Data subject rights
You can export or delete your account data from the Privacy Settings screen in the app, or contact us about waitlist and other privacy requests.
7. We don't sell your data
We do not sell personal information. We limit collection to what is needed to operate the service and comply with legal obligations.
